About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients, including those with complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and midwives, to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and implementation of new clinical pathways and protocols
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including the supervision of junior doctors and medical students
  • Engage in research and quality improvement activities, including the design and implementation of studies and audits

Requirements
  • MBBS (or equivalent) and MRCOG (or equivalent)
  • CCT and/or inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC (or within six months of Appointments Advisory Committee)
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Advanced Labour Ward Practice ATSM (or equivalence)
  • ATSM Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy (or equivalence)
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • ATSM Maternal Medicine or Advanced Antenatal Practice (or equivalence)
  • ATSM Hysteroscopy (or equivalence)
  • MOET/ALSO instructor/PROMPT course
  • Teaching at post- and undergraduate levels
