About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a multidisciplinary team in the management of obstetric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain good working practices in the management of obstetric patients
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in managing acute obstetrics and maternal services
  • Participate in on-call activities and provide a consultant-led service of the highest standard
  • Help reduce perinatal mortality rates through participation in national initiatives
  • Ensure effective clinical leadership for all staff in the service
  • Participate in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programs
Requirements
  • MBBS (or equivalent) and MRCOG or equivalent
  • CCT and/or inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC or within six months of Appointments Advisory Committee
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Advanced Labour Ward Practice ATSM or equivalence
  • ATSM Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy equivalence
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • ATSM Maternal Medicine or Advanced Antenatal Practice or equivalence
  • ATSM Hysteroscopy or equivalence
  • MOET/ALSO instructor/PROMPT course
  • Teaching at post- and undergraduate levels
