Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team at OCS Group in Ipswich. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing indirect spend and developing a comprehensive category plan to maximize value within specified categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a category strategy for long-term planning, negotiation, and compliance.
  • Identify and implement improvements to current contracts, highlighting risks and issues.
  • Manage and implement SLAs and KPIs with suppliers to drive supplier performance.
  • Build strategic relationships with suppliers and manage end-to-end sourcing activities.
About You:
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
  • You should have broad experience in general indirect procurement categories.
  • You should be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and C-suite.
  • You should be able to advise on sourcing strategy and be accountable for end-to-end strategic sourcing process.
  • You should have knowledge of supplier markets relating to indirect procurement, ideally around Fleet, Contingent Workforce, and Professional Services, Transport, and Marketing.
  • You should have good communication and influencing skills.
  • You should be results-driven with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • You should have experience in SRM (Supplier Relationship Management).
  • Working towards MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
