Procurement Manager Job Description

Flux Consulting have partnered with a local company that prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and fostering long-lasting relationships. With a strong foundation in customer-centricity, they have experienced steady growth, enabling them to expand their services to meet the evolving needs of their clients. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on an ASAP basis.

Your role will be to lead the purchasing department, working closely with Contract and Project Managers to ensure the company's operational needs are met. You will be responsible for producing detailed analysis on client and supplier spend, assisting with forecasting and cost reduction initiatives, and adhering to set KPIs. Additionally, you will ensure that goods, materials, and services are procured in accordance with specified company requirements, ensuring timely delivery and meeting arranged schedules.

You will have two direct reports, consisting of a Procurement Assistant and a Warehouse Controller. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting cost analysis reviews to optimize procurement processes.
  • Maintaining electronic and manual filing systems and records to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Sourcing new supply chains where necessary to meet business needs.
  • Acting professionally and contributing positively to the Procurement function.
  • Verifying receipt of goods and services and authorizing accounts for payments.
  • Mediating rebates and buying incentives to drive cost savings.
  • Performing detailed analysis of spend and supplier spend to inform procurement decisions.
  • Requiring prior experience in the construction or engineering industry, as well as a commercial office and projects environment background.
  • Having strong PC literacy, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Identifying opportunities for personal and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest business and engineering practices.
  • Being self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a high work ethic, flexibility, loyalty, and honesty.
  • Possessing a manual driver's license.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 07:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
