As a result, they are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on an ASAP basis.
Your role will be to oversee the purchasing department, providing support to Contract and Project Managers to ensure the company's operational needs are met. You will be responsible for producing detailed analysis on client and supplier spend, assisting with forecasting and cost reduction process implementations, and adhering to set KPIs. Additionally, you will ensure that goods, materials, and services are procured in accordance with specified company requirements, relating to quantity and quality, and delivered on time to meet arranged schedules.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct cost analysis reviews to optimize procurement processes.
- Maintain electronic and manual filing systems and records to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Source new supply chains where necessary to meet the company's growing needs.
- Act professionally and contribute positively to the Procurement function, upholding the company's values and standards.
- Verify receipt of goods and services and authorize accounts for payments to ensure timely and accurate financial management.
- Mediate rebates and buying incentives to maximize value for the company.
- Perform detailed analysis of spend and supplier spend to identify areas for improvement.
- Prior experience in the construction or engineering industry is required, as is a commercial office and projects environment background.
- Strong PC literacy, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel, is essential for success in this role.
- Identify opportunities for personal and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest business and engineering practices.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a high work ethic, flexibility, loyalty, and honesty.
- A manual driver's license is required for this position.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 07:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The position offers a competitive salary, plus benefits, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company.
