Job Title: Support Worker for Young Person with Autism

UKCIL Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide support to a 15-year-old boy with Autism.

About the Role:

  • Provide 6 hours of support per week during term time and 16 hours during school holidays.
  • Support the young person with daily living tasks, personal care, and social activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the young person's independence and well-being.
  • Work closely with the young person's family and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.

About the Young Person:

  • 15-year-old boy with Autism.
  • Happy and verbal, with a pleasant disposition.
  • Likes books, music, lights, going to local parks, swimming, and walks.
  • Requires close supervision due to a tendency to run off and potentially challenging behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of support strategies for Autism, including thinking, understanding, learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties, speech, language, communication, sensory, and physical challenges.
