Job Description

The Independent Advocate role at Talent Limited involves working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored support and guidance to empower them to make informed decisions about their lives. This may involve accompanying clients to appointments and meetings, assisting them in navigating the system, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients built on trust, respect, and empathy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advocacy and support services to clients, including accompanying them to appointments and meetings as needed;
  • Support clients in accessing relevant resources and services, such as healthcare, education, and employment opportunities;
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client interactions and progress;
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies and initiatives to improve client outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of level 6 British Sign Language qualification;
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in an advocacy or support capacity;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing client needs.
