Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Staff Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Day Case Surgical Ward. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and delivery of individualized patient care, managing the department efficiently, and participating in the operational management of the ward.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care
- Manage the department efficiently, utilizing allocated resources and scope of practice
- Participate in the operational management of the ward, including shift leading responsibilities
- Undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Ward Manager, supporting the management and development of nursing care and service delivery
- Provide support to the Ward Manager, Deputy Ward Manager, and shift leaders
- Undertake a link nurse role for designated clinical responsibilities, attend meetings, and complete associated actions
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing
- 2 years post-registration experience in one of the specialities of the ward
- Evidence of ongoing training and commitment to development
- Significant post-registration skills
