Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Specialist Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Richmond upon Thames.
About the Role:We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Nurse Practitioner to work in our Adolescent Hope Unit. As a Specialist Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, applying clinical skills, and collaborating with colleagues to shape the care framework and strategic objectives of the service.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct specialist assessments and make well-informed decisions.
- Apply a broad range of clinical skills to meet the diverse needs of patients.
- Collaborate with colleagues to shape the care framework and strategic objectives of the service.
- Drive the development of clinical expertise and uphold high standards of nursing practice.
- Deliver evidence-based care and stay informed on the latest best practices.
- Actively participate in clinical supervision and oversee the development of nursing staff.
- Serve as a role model of clinical excellence and demonstrate best practices.
- Navigate the legal and ethical dimensions of mental health care with confidence.
- Provide clear information to clients and carers about available services.
- Offer specialist knowledge and expert advice to fellow healthcare professionals.
- Communicate with clarity and empathy, even in challenging situations.
- Lead weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure seamless, patient-centred care.
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
- Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Valid NMC Registration.
- Community experience.
- Experience of working in old age psychiatry.
- Experience of assessing and managing crisis with those with a dementing illness.
