Researcher - Diabetes Prevention Project

Glasgow Caledonian University, a vibrant and values-led institution, is seeking a part-time Researcher to contribute to the successful delivery of a pilot trial focused on preventing diabetes-related foot ulceration in individuals exposed to multiple deprivation.

As a key member of the Department of Podiatry and Radiography, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary research group consisting of health professionals, human movement scientists, and engineers within the School of Health and Life Sciences.

The project, funded by the Chief Scientist Office, aims to explore the effectiveness of motivational interviewing in preventing diabetes-related foot ulcers. Your responsibilities will include trial setup, development of study materials, collaboration with external partners, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and qualitative interview analysis.

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with a track record of supporting funded research studies or clinical trials. Key skills and qualifications include effective organisational and management skills, experience in data management, team working, and the ability to work independently.

Prior experience in qualitative data collection and analysis, working with people from areas of multiple deprivation, and patient and public involvement in research activities would be advantageous.
