Teaching Assistant for Children with Autism Required in Telford

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs in a local school in Telford.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supporting children with autism and other special needs. They will be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, demonstrating a practical approach to supporting teaching and learning.

  • Experience in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly with timetabling and daily routines.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.

The salary for this position is £25,000 per annum, inclusive of 7.4% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, although there may be opportunities to make it permanent in the future. Applicants must hold the necessary qualifications and training for this role.

This role requires a committed individual who can work effectively with a child with special needs, using a variety of techniques to engage and support learning. The ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities is essential, along with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
