Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Inorganic Analytical Technician to join our team at ALS Limited. This role would be a great starting point for someone looking to develop their career in Environmental Sciences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that samples are tested and results recorded in line with company targets. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a meticulous and methodical approach to tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Test and analyse samples using various techniques and equipment.
  • Record and report results in accordance with company procedures.
  • Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
  • Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
  • Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C / Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics, English, and Science (with Chemistry being essential).
  • An A-Level (or equivalent qualification) in a scientific subject
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a willingness to learn.
  • Client focused approach with a solution oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to plan and organise own work area.
