Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Job Description:
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and trucks. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems. You will work in a fast-paced workshop environment, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain vehicles to the highest standard
- Liaise with the workshop controller and managers to ensure smooth workflow and meet customer requirements
- Carry out diagnostics using advanced tools and software
- Carry out Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) to identify and rectify potential issues
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Repairs or similar qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a large garage or similar environment
- Full driving license
- Own tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Passion for cars and automotive technology
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic software
