Job Title: Sales Team Leader - Energy Contracts

At National Farmers Union, we're seeking an experienced Sales Team Leader to join our energy contract sales team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading the SME Sales team and overseeing the end-to-end sales process for electricity and gas contracts for SME businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the SME Sales team to meet and exceed renewal and new business sales targets to achieve business revenue objectives
  • Manage the performance of sales consultants
  • Deputise for the Head of Department as required
  • Lead by example and provide appropriate sales coaching and training to the team
  • Oversee a collaborative and effective working relationship between sales and administration teams
  • Develop and maintain an efficient, suitable sales process
  • Achieve personal financial sales and objectives
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's grade A-C or equivalent, with strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Business to business sales experience, including telesales
  • Proven people manager experience
  • Exceptional organisational skills and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and listen effectively with a range of audiences
  • Proven record of establishing effective working relationships
  • Good judgement skills – be able to identify issues/opportunities and allocate time/resource accordingly
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Excel and Word
  • Good commercial acumen
What We Offer:

A salary of £34,000 to £36,000 depending on experience, plus commission, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), company benefits including pension, group life assurance (3 times salary), NFU membership, and more.

You will be based at our office in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We support work-life balance and operate a hybrid working policy with a mixture of home and office working available.
