{"h1": "Data Protection and Privacy Counsel at iManage", "p": "As a Data Protection and Privacy Counsel at iManage, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and influence our privacy practices and policies, work on meaningful projects, influence product development, and serve as a trusted advisor on privacy matters.
Your key responsibilities will include maintaining and building upon expertise in data privacy and protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other global privacy laws. You will scope and deliver long-term data protection compliance projects, covering all agreements, policies, procedures, and training required to operate compliantly and to evidence this compliance.
You will also serve as a privacy advisor to departments across the enterprise, providing strategic and legal guidance on privacy issues, including international transfers and controller and processor obligations. Additionally, you will assist business clients in complying with internal privacy policies, privacy by design requirements, and applicable privacy laws.
You will act as the liaison with our outsourced, UK-based data protection officer, conduct privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments, and ensure compliance with data subject rights requests.
We are looking for a qualified professional with a strong background in data protection and privacy law, preferably with experience in a similar role, preferably within the software, cloud services, or technology industry with a focus on multinational companies.
You will have extensive knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, familiarity with international law and cross-border data transfers, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
