We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Winchester, a Category B male prison located just outside the city centre. Our prison has excellent transport links, with a bus stop opposite the site and the train station within a 10-minute walk.

This is a crucial role within our healthcare team, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to patients and deliver outstanding care. HMP Winchester is a remand prison with a capacity of around 650.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to all patients, delivering personalized and non-judgmental support.
  • Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing, and clinics.
  • Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care on the wings and healthcare centres.
