Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is seeking a highly skilled Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on contracts, procurement, and corporate law.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within the Public Sector, ideally within a Local Authority. This role would be suited to a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with a specialism in Construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on construction contracts, including JCT and NEC Contracts
  • Providing legal advice and assistance on Contracts, Procurement, Corporate and Commercial Law, Data Protection, and Competition Law
  • Acting on behalf of the Council in respect of the procurement of various contracts, including contracts for Works and Services, Concession Contracts, Waste Contracts, Building and Construction Contracts, and Back to Back Agreements
  • Advise on the interpretation of Contracts and other legal documentation and responsible for carrying out complex drafting and the execution and completion of contracts

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of public procurement
  • Experience of using JCT construction software
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
