Job Title: 3D AutoCAD Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our team of multidisciplinary design engineers in the development of clean water design projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate the design process for clean water projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards.
  2. Directly manage a team of design engineers to produce high-quality design outputs.
  3. Manage external design resources as required.
  4. Prepare and agree fee proposals, programmes, and resource management to ensure the design team delivers in line with financial approvals and programme.
  5. Develop and manage programmes for design projects to ensure client expectations are met.
  6. Conduct site scoping/survey visits to obtain necessary information for design development.
  7. Ensure design development, production, and approval comply with company QA procedures.
  8. Review, audit, and approve technical reports, appraisals, designs, and drawings to ensure compliance with client health and safety and technical standards.
  9. Arrange and chair workshops and design meetings to review design proposals and progress.
  10. Assist with procurement package placement and management.
  11. Support project managers and directors within the business.
  12. Stay up-to-date with technical and HSQE matters, and be aware of policy and developments in these areas.
  13. Present technical data or project results to clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
  1. 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the clean water sector.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. BTEC HNC/HND in an engineering field as a minimum.
  2. EUSR water hygiene card.
  3. Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Degree in an engineering field.
  2. Strong AutoCAD design skills.
  3. Ability to use Microsoft Project to manage programmes.
  4. Membership with relevant professional body.
  5. Multi-disciplinary knowledge.
