Financial Controller

We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst to support our Group's financial control and contribute to the creation and interpretation of financial results and forecasts for various entities within our organisation.
About MPLCMPLC is a leading copyright licensing agency based in Eastbourne, serving the non-theatrical film market. Our organization offers copyright compliance solutions to multiple market sectors.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end close processes, performing thorough reconciliations, managing cash flow, and preparing quarterly financial forecasts.
Key Responsibilities- Month-End Close: Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform thorough reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Cash Management and Forecasting: Manage cash flow and prepare accurate forecasts.
- Quarterly Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial forecasts.
- Audit Support: Prepare annual audit schedules and analyses as required by auditors and management.
- Operational Support: Create purchase orders, process invoices, and support pay runs as needed.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Education: Strong GCSE grades in Maths and English; university education is a plus but not essential.
- Accountancy Training: Training for an accountancy qualification is highly regarded.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team Player: A natural team player who prioritizes team and colleague interests.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with and able to support change within a growing organization.
- Fully remote or hybrid working, with 2 days per week in our Eastbourne based office depending on location.
- A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
