About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Care Coordinator to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to take on a leadership role, coordinating care across multiple sites and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • To provide 24-hour continuing responsibility for the quality of care in designated clinical areas, ensuring coordination between maternity wards, labour ward, birth centre, and maternity assessment unit.
  • To lead a multi-disciplinary team, providing direction and effective leadership to ensure excellent quality of care to patients and service users.
  • To act as an expert clinical practitioner, providing personally and through their team an excellent quality of care to patients and service users.
  • To demonstrate high-quality compassionate leadership, acting as a role model at all times across the maternity service and the wider organisation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Midwifery or equivalent experience.
  • Recognised teaching/mentoring qualification.
  • Evidence of post-qualification development.
  • Relevant clinical experience in acute care settings.
  • Demonstrable experience in enhanced maternity care, NN resuscitation, Obstetric emergencies, CTG interpretation.

Salary

£58,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
