Body Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Body Electronics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry and a strong understanding of delivering Body Electronics (hardware and software) commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, release and approval of Body Electronics components and systems to deliver required functionality to agreed cost, timing, and quality targets.
  • Develop and implement effective supplier management strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of Body Electronics components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Body Electronics systems with other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of Body Electronics components and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the development process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering Body Electronics (hardware and software) commodities, including quality, cost, function, weight, and timing.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive development systems, including specification, releasing, concerns, containments, gateways, and sign-off documentation.
  • Excellent supplier management skills, with experience in managing multiple suppliers and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of components.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles from concept to launch completion.
  • Experience with automotive quality tools and processes, including FMEA, DFMEA, and PPAP.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes to create Body Electronics components, including PCB assembly, wire harnessing, and testing.
