Digital Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Digital Operations Support Specialist to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our Digital Service Desk Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our 6000 IT users have access to the systems they need to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide first-level support for various applications and software, including Email, Active Directory, Outlook, and MS Office products. You will be logging calls via Numara Track IT, and internal training will be provided.
We are looking for a candidate with previous service desk experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a strong ability to learn and communicate technical information.
Main Duties
- Record all service desk calls, answer enquiries, and issue call reference numbers to customers.
- Perform first-level diagnostic procedures to identify and rectify problems, offer telephone advice, and guidance where possible.
- Forward service desk calls to appropriate IT staff, third-party support service providers, and national solutions.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, including password administration on various IT systems.
- Monitor progress of fault resolution with IT staff, customers, and third-party maintenance contractors.
- Populate and maintain Service Desk call logging system.
