Principal Engineer - HV Battery

At Tata Technologies, we are a global leader in product development, engineering, and validation. We are now recruiting for a Principal Engineer - HV Battery to be based at our office in Warwick, UK.

About the Role

As a Principal HV Battery System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating high-voltage battery systems for various markets. Your focus will be on managing HV electrical systems integration, leading the development of battery system architecture, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of HV battery system design, product architecture, and validation, including pack and module level electro-mechanical design, BMS interfaces, and sub-components.
  • System and component feature implementation planning
  • Responsible for delivering system design specifications and statements of work for assigned projects within the HV battery portfolio.
  • Validate that all products meet specification requirements and project targets through documented DVP.
  • Lead technical discussions to deliver robust fault-free designs through concurrent engineering disciplines, including DFMEA, DFA, DFM, campaign prevention process, robustness, etc.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with a good track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Working experience with standards like ECE R100, ISO 26262, ISO 16949, and GBT.
  • Previous experience of OEM or tier one automotive systems.
  • Driven to delivering high-quality projects, on time and budget, beyond customer expectations.
  • Expertise in automotive toolchains, including diagnostic tools, vector tools, CANalyzer, and CANoe.
