Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapy team within Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide specialist paediatric respiratory physiotherapy care for children in the community setting, aiming to prevent avoidable hospital admissions with chest infections in children with complex medical needs.

Main Responsibilities

The Physiotherapist will assess and treat children and young people with respiratory conditions, working closely with the Children's Community Nursing Team and Palliative Care team. Key duties include assessing respiratory status, planning and delivering treatment, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in respiratory physiotherapy, including paediatrics, and will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.

Person Specification

  • Significant recent post-graduate experience in the NHS as a Physiotherapist
  • Broad clinical experience at Physiotherapy practitioner grade, including working within an MDT
  • Significant experience of Respiratory Physiotherapy, including a minimum of 6 months of paediatrics within the last 2 years
  • Portfolio to support experience
