Process Engineer (Contract) Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to lead production process improvement efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining, routing, and planning production processes to ensure efficient production flows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) project meetings to assess production impacts and plan accordingly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce production costs.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the right materials are sourced at optimal quality and cost.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that all components meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Partner with the Site Production Manager to optimize production planning and ensure smooth processes.
  • Oversee Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and manage the introduction or phase-out of materials and processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer, ideally with a background in electrical/electronic manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA and box build processes, including managing production test equipment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs).
  • Expertise in line balancing, process flow analysis, and takt time planning, with experience in 5S methodology.
  • Strong background in VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) to improve processes and purchasing.
