Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hand Therapist to join our dynamic team at Surrey Downs Health and Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist hand assessments and treatment to patients with a range of conditions, including trauma, surgery, and chronic conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive hand assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide and/or fabricate static and dynamic splints to prevent impairment and improve function, independence, and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working in a hand therapy department or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
