Role Overview

Astute People is seeking a seasoned Senior HSE Manager to lead our HSE efforts at Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Project Manager to develop and implement HSE strategies that ensure the safety of employees and the environment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and updating HSE policies and procedures to align with organisational and project standards.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating workplace hazards to ensure employee and environmental protection.
  • Conducting safety training, drills, and campaigns to promote HSE compliance and awareness.

In return, you can expect a competitive salary of £89,100 per annum, overtime availability (3-5 hours daily at £46.10), travel expenses, accommodation allowance (£38 a night), 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, and flexible working options (5 on 2 off | 10 on 4 off).

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in HSE roles, with a minimum of 5 years working as a HSE Manager.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ level 6, or equivalent within Health and Safety.
  • SMSTS qualification and experience working in a HSE capacity on a construction site or high-risk environment.
