Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, implementing their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and promoting their social, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective strategies to manage challenging behavior and create a safe learning environment.
  • Assist in supervising students during break times and outings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and nurturing learning environment, promoting inclusivity and respect for all students.
Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and protocols, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of students and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional qualifications in SEN support and understanding autism.
  • Training in behavior management techniques and strategies.
