We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Paediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with staff and patients to ensure comprehensive information is documented and the highest possible standard of care is provided.
  • Accurately record clinical signs and interpret them in relation to the child's clinical condition.
  • Report to medical and nursing staff on the condition and progress of patients.
  • Plan, with the family, at the earliest possible opportunity, the discharge of the child, liaising closely with all members of the primary healthcare team.
  • Respect the individuality, values, cultural, and religious diversity of patients and their families and contribute to a service provision sensitive to those needs.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • RN child/Degree in Children's nursing

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in acute paediatric nursing
  • Experience working in a paediatric general ward, paediatric assessment unit, ambulatory, or emergency treatment area
  • Experience practising enhanced paediatric assessment skills
  • Experience teaching and supporting children and families
  • Knowledge of safeguarding
