An ambitious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant is required to join our team at an Ofsted-graded 'Good' secondary pupil referral unit in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEMH difficulties and contribute to the success of our students.

About the Team

We are a dedicated team of teachers and support staff who are committed to providing high-quality educational programs and support to our students. We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that allows our students to thrive academically and personally.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supporting students with SEMH difficulties in class and during individual sessions
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery, including preparing resources and materials
  • Monitoring student progress and reporting back to teachers and parents
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with SEN and challenging behaviour
  • Demonstrated ability to engage all pupils and raise their attainment
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • Professional reference checks and current CV
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, training opportunities, and a supportive working environment.
