Reed is partnering with a well-established accounting firm to recruit a skilled Practice Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take on a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and excellent client management abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, planning and organizing tasks to ensure timely completion of year-end accounts and other financial reports.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide ad-hoc bookkeeping services and assist with VAT returns, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide expert accounting advice, building strong relationships and trust.
  • Prepare and submit personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

**Requirements**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICAEW/ACCA qualified accountant with a strong background in practice accounting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**

  • Working knowledge of Sage and Xero accounting software, with experience in QuickBooks a plus.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of 30 hours per week and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
