Recovery Support Volunteer

Forward Leeds is a leading provider of alcohol and drug services in England, dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and promoting recovery.

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Support Volunteer to join our team. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to clients throughout their recovery journey.

Estimated Salary: £12-15 per hour

Our services cover various aspects of substance misuse, including counseling, harm reduction advice, and referrals to specialist services. As a Recovery Support Volunteer, you will be expected to:

  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients during their recovery journey
  • Assist staff with urine tests, case notes, and other administrative tasks
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of individual recovery plans and collaborate with staff to create effective strategies
  • Support staff with home visits, assessments, and phone calls
  • Discuss blood-borne virus testing and harm reduction advice with clients
