Making a Difference in Special Education

As a Teaching Assistant for SEND students, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of students aged 11 to 19 years old with a variety of special educational needs.

You will work alongside a dedicated and professional team to provide individualized support and create a nurturing environment for each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students with varying levels of need, including SpLD, VI, HI, SLCN, ASD, SEMH, PD, MLD, and SLD.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with families to ensure effective communication and collaborative support.
Requirements and Salary

To succeed in this role, you must have recent SEND experience, particularly working with challenging behavior. A strong understanding of the curriculum and the ability to adapt it to meet pupils' needs are also essential. A commitment to full-time hours and the ability to integrate seamlessly within a large professional team are necessary.

The estimated salary range for this position is around £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
