About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our central Group Data & Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop innovative data processes, optimize our Enterprise Data Platform, and leverage AI and Machine Learning innovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data pipelines and architectures to meet evolving business needs.
  • Optimize our Enterprise Data Platform for performance and scalability.
  • Leverage AI and Machine Learning innovations to drive business value.
  • Create data models and metadata systems to enhance data consumer productivity.
  • Conduct data and process discovery to improve data acquisition processes.
  • Ensure technical implementations meet agreed performance metrics.
  • Research and introduce emerging technologies to benefit the organization.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and champion DataOps.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, DBT, and Snowflake.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for developing applications and data pipelines.
  • Experience in hybrid cloud-enabled end-to-end data architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical model design and development.
  • Excellent communication skills for discussing business processes with non-technical users.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver high-quality outputs in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for transforming large, complex data sets into actionable information.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture principles.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience implementing Data Vault on Snowflake.
  • Passion for AI and exploring its potential in corporate and life sciences.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure platforms for Data & Analytics.
