Copyright and Licensing Expertise
At the International Maritime Organization, we seek a skilled professional to support the management of copyright and licensing for our sales publications. This role involves coordinating and administering copyright and licensing for all language editions and co-publishing ventures, ensuring adherence to technical and security specifications.
Business Development and Strategy
The successful candidate will support the development of standard operating procedures, build and maintain relationships with rights and licensing service providers, and contribute to the formulation of strategic recommendations for rights and licensing of IMO sales publications. Additionally, they will assist in the development of distribution strategies for IMO sales publications across various platforms, including licensing arrangements with providers of solutions for the maritime industry.
Innovation and Analysis
This role requires the ability to stay abreast of rights and licensing trends, technologies, and best practices. The successful candidate will support senior members in formulating advice to management on innovative solutions, such as subscription models and tailored licensing agreements, to maximize revenue potential. They will also prepare statistical analyses and reports on rights and licensing activities and propose recommendations for improving business practices.
Sales and Marketing Support
The Copyright and Licensing Assistant will support the implementation of initiatives to promote IMO's sales products to a global audience, leveraging digital platforms and in-person demonstrations to maximize reach and impact. They will also assist in managing relationships with distributors and participate in responding to enquiries and customer assistance requests via the sales email account and/or by phone.
