Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading best practices in health, safety, and sustainability for our highway projects in North Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage health, safety, and environmental aspects for our highway projects.
  2. Advise and support senior management on HSE responsibilities and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
  3. Conduct inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  4. Investigate accidents and incidents, analysing data to prevent recurrence.
  5. Collect and review HSE statistics to identify trends for improvement.
  6. Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures, and conduct lessons learnt sessions.
  7. Manage and review HSE documentation to ensure compliance with partner KPIs.
  8. Oversee environmental and sustainability objectives, maintaining strong client relationships.
  9. Support audits and uphold ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a health, safety, and environmental role.
  2. NEBOSH certification (General/Construction) and environmental/auditing competencies (desirable).
  3. IEMA or IOSH accreditation and CSCS certification.
  4. Knowledge of company HSE systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  5. Full UK driving licence.
