We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading best practices in health, safety, and sustainability for our highway projects in North Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage health, safety, and environmental aspects for our highway projects.
- Advise and support senior management on HSE responsibilities and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
- Conduct inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analysing data to prevent recurrence.
- Collect and review HSE statistics to identify trends for improvement.
- Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures, and conduct lessons learnt sessions.
- Manage and review HSE documentation to ensure compliance with partner KPIs.
- Oversee environmental and sustainability objectives, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Support audits and uphold ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Previous experience in a health, safety, and environmental role.
- NEBOSH certification (General/Construction) and environmental/auditing competencies (desirable).
- IEMA or IOSH accreditation and CSCS certification.
- Knowledge of company HSE systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Full UK driving licence.
