Geotechnical Specialist

Your new company Hays, a leading recruitment agency, is collaborating with a well-established firm in the UK that specialises in ground-engineering solutions. They are currently seeking a Ground Engineering Solutions Specialist for a permanent position.
About the Role- Liaise with clients, regulators and design engineers to manage various ground engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Manage financial budgets for projects and provide recommendations for foundation design, ground improvements, earthworks, basements, retaining walls, mining, dissolution, and slope stability assessments.
- Conversant with design software and geophysical surveys, the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of characterising ground conditions.
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience in ground investigation within the UK, including soil/rock logging, fieldwork and sitework supervision.
- A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a relevant degree.
- A self-starter with strong communication skills and a proactive character, holding a UK driving licence for travelling to sites within the UK.
