About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join SNAP Care as a Complex Care Support Worker, providing 2:1 care and support to Winnie, a 17-year-old with complex care needs. As a member of Winnie's care team, you will work collaboratively with her family, therapy team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure she receives the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 2:1 care and support to Winnie, including assistance with daily living activities, health, and medical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Winnie's family, therapy team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure her care and support needs are met.
  • Assist Winnie in exploring new hobbies and interests, promoting independence and a fulfilling life.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in complex care and medical needs.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with complex care and medical needs, including suctioning and manual handling.
  • Confident driver with a valid license and access to a WAV vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Non-smoker/vaper and able to travel with Winnie on holidays.
