Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Community Hepatology Nursing Team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our Nurse Manager and wider team to deliver high quality care to patients with Hepatitis C across the Thames Valley Operational Delivery Network (ODN).

The post will be primarily based in Swindon, with further opportunities to work on local, regional and national campaigns to support the health and wellbeing of patients living with viral Hepatitis and liver disease.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Registered Nurse (Adult) with a real passion for developing clinical skills and pathways in an environment that is ever changing. You will have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas and initiatives on how to develop the service.

The role is largely focused on Hepatitis C management covering testing and treatment in many different settings including testing campaigns, outreach clinics, GP surgeries, drug and alcohol services, mobile van and prisons, with a vision to include other areas of liver health.

Main Responsibilities
  • You must have good communication skills (written and verbal) and IT skills.
  • You will need to be flexible in hours of work and have a car owner/driver.
  • Phlebotomy skills and Hep C Knowledge are essential.
Working Arrangements

This post will cover the Swindon area of the Thames Valley region, working with the community team and also the local Hospital Team.

The Thames Valley ODN will offer training and development within our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team to develop this specialist role.
