Job Description:

Job Title: Deputy Lead Nurse (Band 6) - Hospice at Home Team

As a Deputy Lead Nurse on our Hospice at Home team, you will be responsible for providing clinical care to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in their own homes. You will work closely with the Lead Nurse to develop and implement care plans, lead the team, and maintain an overview of the day-to-day prioritization of care arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients and their families
  • Conduct assessments and reviews of clinical care and support
  • Lead and manage the Hospice at Home team, including day-to-day line management and appraisal processes
  • Maintain an overview of the day-to-day prioritization of care arrangements

Requirements:

  • Qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RN (Adult branch)
  • Significant post-registration experience with children/young people
  • Experience as a Band 6 Nurse
  • Post-registration experience in children's palliative/end of life care
  • Experience of managing employees
