Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

A leading Civil Engineering, Tier 1, Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position near Peterborough for a large Infrastructure project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to gain experience working on a prestigious project, supporting the project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes, and capturing and sharing knowledge across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the company's position
  • Report to the Commercial Manager on subcontract status
  • Assist senior staff in pricing variations, including mechanical and electrical scope
  • Cost control and management
  • Support the Commercial and Contract Managers with monthly project cost reports and progress reports
  • Provide provision to the team on managing subcontract lifecycles, participating in procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and work packages management
  • Measurement of quantities and preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with monthly work in progress reports
  • Manage delegated resources, ensuring value for money

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in heavy civil engineering projects
  • Previous NEC contract experience
  • NEC Change Management Experience
  • Confident and comfortable working on projects exceeding £10m+ in value
