Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Classroom Support Worker to join our team at a special needs school in Woking, Surrey. The successful candidate will provide critical support to our students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with our teaching staff to deliver tailored support, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behavior. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, while your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with complex needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  • Develop and implement IEPs in conjunction with teachers and other support staff
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behavior
  • Support the development of social skills and behaviors

Requirements:
  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Salary: £85-100 per day
