About the Role
University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Accessibility Officer. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with our Experience of Care team to ensure that our patients receive equitable access to healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for staff members, providing guidance and advice on increasing accessibility to Trust services and the creation of patient information documents.
- Provide professional administrative support while supporting the delivery of a copywriting, editing, proofreading, and typesetting service.
- Work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver up-to-date patient information and equitable access for all patients.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
- GCSE (or equivalent) standard, with a pass in English and Maths.
- Experience in an administration or customer support role.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of organising and prioritising multiple tasks within tight timescales/deadlines.
