Patient Accessibility Officer

About the RoleThe Patient Accessibility Officer will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day running of our interpreting, translation, and transcription services. You will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing multiple workstreams, and delivering training sessions to staff members. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment will be essential in achieving our goals.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a subject matter expert for staff members, providing guidance and advice on increasing accessibility to Trust services and the creation of patient information documents.
- Provide professional administrative support, including copywriting, editing, proofreading, and typesetting services.
- Work collaboratively with disciplines across the hospital to deliver up-to-date patient information and equitable access for all patients.
We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications and experience:
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
- GCSE (or equivalent) standard in English and Maths.
- Experience in an administration or customer support role.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience of organising and prioritising multiple tasks within tight timescales/deadlines.
