Special Education Needs Professional

A primary teacher position is available at a special school in Moseley, South Birmingham, supporting pupils aged 5-11 years with diverse needs.
This maternity cover role requires a qualified teacher with experience teaching in a special school setting and the ability to promote independence, social skills, and effective communication among children.
About the Role:The successful candidate will work closely with children and their families to develop strategies for managing various challenges, including cognition and learning difficulties, speech, language, and communication challenges, as well as physical, sensory, and medical needs.
The teacher will have opportunities for ongoing training and development through our partnership with The National College.
Requirements:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- At least 6 months of experience teaching in a special school setting
- Possession of a TEAM TEACH Certificate (desirable)
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
- A competitive salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience
