Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client's Wealth Management team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing accounts, and providing administrative support to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, working papers, and draft accounts files for review by senior staff members.
  • Complete monthly bookkeeping for clients and liaise with clients for any required information.
  • Assist senior staff members with ad-hoc accounting tasks, such as cash flow statements and forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed customer records and create new customer accounts.
  • Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Collect monthly direct debits and make payments.
  • Prepare and enter journals into various accounting systems.
  • Prepare audit working papers and assist with audit enquiries.
  • Reconcile balance sheet monthly.
  • Assist with monthly Payroll (Sage Payroll).
  • Attend to accounts payable queries.

Requirements

  • Previous demonstrable experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • AAT qualified, or working towards ACCA or ACA qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Excellent listening and presentation abilities.
