Financial Assistant - Wealth Management
Our client, a fast-growing Wealth Management firm, is seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to join their team.
The Financial Assistant will be responsible for various financial and administrative tasks, including preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll assistance, and maintaining accurate customer and financial records.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: £23,000 - £27,000 PA (DOE)
- Generous holiday package: 24 days holiday plus bank holidays - increasing 1 day after each year of service up to 32 days
- Flexible working options
- Pension scheme: Employee contributes 4% and Employer contributes 4% rising to 6% after 5 years
- Death in service scheme: 4x annual salary

Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and working papers for review by senior staff members
- Complete monthly bookkeeping for clients and liaise with clients for any required information
- Assist senior staff members with ad-hoc financial tasks such as cash flow statements and forecasting
- Take care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing, and printing
- Maintain accurate and detailed customer records and create new customer accounts
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Collect monthly direct debits and make payments
- Prepare and enter journals into various accounting systems
- Prepare audit working papers and assist with audit enquiries
- Reconcile balance sheet monthly
- Assist with monthly Payroll (Sage Payroll)
- Attend to accounts payable queries
Requirements
- Previous demonstrable experience working in a similar role
- Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- AAT qualified, or working towards ACCA or ACA qualification
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Excellent listening and presentation abilities
