Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant to support children with profound and multiple learning difficulties who cannot attend mainstream schools. The successful candidate will have appropriate Moving and Handling training and a strong background in supporting students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Support: Assist with the delivery of the curriculum and individual learning plans to ensure students receive a tailored education.
  • Student Support: Provide daily support to students with tasks such as personal care, mobility, and communication.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, monitoring student development and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with other staff members, external agencies, and families to provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications and training for the role, including Moving and Handling certification.
  • Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Right to Work in the UK.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing student needs.
