Civil Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Southampton. As a valued member of our professional design team, you will be responsible for producing original designs for civil infrastructure, including design and detail of temporary works within clean & dirty water and other sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Prepare outline designs for tenders within short timescales, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Develop clear and well-structured design calculations and reports, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support site teams from pre-construction to construction phase, ensuring seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to undertake civil design to current codes and standards, with a strong understanding of safety legislation.
  • Thorough knowledge of hydraulic design principles and experience in related sectors.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages, including AutoCAD, and IT literate.
  • Qualifications: HND/BEng Civil Engineering or Civil Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
