Trant Engineering is seeking a talented and motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our growing team in Southampton. We are a leading provider of engineering and construction services across various sectors, including Process & Water, Energy, Defence, and Nuclear.

As a Civil Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and high-quality civil infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with our electrical and mechanical teams to develop comprehensive designs that meet client requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and project objectives.
  • Prepare detailed outline designs for tenders within tight deadlines.
  • Produce clear, concise, and well-structured design calculations and reports.
  • Provide technical support and design proposals to site teams throughout the pre-construction and construction phases.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to execute civil designs in accordance with current codes and standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety legislation related to CDM regulations.
  • Experience in hydraulic design is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or Civil Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered status is desirable but not mandatory.
